Recruitment: German enterprises rarely look for employees on the international labor markets
Especially mid-sized enterprises rarely look for senior managers and experts on an international scale – this is the result of a new HR-report by the German “Institut für Beschäftigung und Employability (IBE)): In 2014 65% of the companies in the survey took on new employees. Above all they found it difficult to find appropriate experts and officers (74% and 56%).
Still companies with less than 1,000 employees mainly search within their region. Only larger companies (up to 5,000 employees) look nationwide and just the really huge ones also take on new employees from the European ****or**** worldwide labor markets. If smaller enterprises decide to recruit on an international scale, this happens mainly in other German-speaking countries (40%). Compared to other sectors it is the industry which principally looks for new employees in the whole EU.
Considering the actual shortage of managers and experts German small and mid-sized companies therefore miss the opportunity to recruit successfully employees on the international labor markets. As member of the international HR-network “Sirium International HR Group” we offer our clients, medium-sized companies, also international services.
