International Specialists for German companies
Because of the lack of specialists in Germany the welcome internet site www.make-it-in-Germany.com created by the German government tries to recruit international qualified employees. “Make it in Germany” shows how foreign specialists can make their way to Germany successfully – and why it is worth it to work and to live there. The internet portal for the first time concentrates all information about working and living in Germany. It gives information about the branches with a great need of qualified employees and about the conditions of taking up an employment with a German company.
There is a strong focus on the so-called “Mittelstand” in Germany. The bottom line is that more than 99% of German enterprises are part of this group of medium-sized companies which means 3.6 million companies providing more than 60% of all jobs in Germany. It is a varied and dynamic group of very different branches with very different products and services. In other countries the Mittelstand is not so strong and the German word is integrated into the own language because there is no equivalent.
With our international network SIRIUM INTERNATIONAL HR GROUP we are able to offer tailor made consultancy services to our clients of the Mittelstand and to candidates in many European countries.
In 2013, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the signing of the “Elysée Contracts” which are the basis for the French-German friendship, Germany celebrates the “Year of France”. The German and the French Ministry of foreign Affairs created a common internet site (www.elysee50.de) with besides a lot of information and organizational tips also presents some amusing facts, e.g. some typical clichés concerning the neighbor which are compared to reality:
54 % of German medium-sized companies search for managers also in foreign countries
A lot of German medium-sized companies not only make business in foreign countries but also search there for managers: 54% of German companies with at least 250 employees say that they also recruit managers beyond national borders. The different languages and mentalities as well as difficulties to access potential candidates are the greatest obstacles to employ foreign senior managers, officers and experts of the first and second level. These aspects complicate the process of recruitment in foreign countries in comparison to national selection processes.
But companies do not have to accept these difficulties because especially personnel consultancies offer their services also in searching and selecting foreign managers: Our international network Sirium International HR Group with permanent, reliable and independent partners in each country is a leading name for the search and selection of foreign senior managers, officers and experts of the first and second level in an international context.
